Back to Blogging

I hae been really a lazy blogger but I am trying my hardest to change that!  Thanks to my new found love PINTEREST  I have found so many neat things to create and I have been so busy creating I have had little time to blog (or at least that is my story and I'm sticking to it...).  Face it, being busy creating sounds much better than being too lazy to blog!  Either way I am going to attempt to break my blogging lull by blogging about some of the things I have been doing.  They will unfortunatly be woefully out of order.  For those of you who know me you know that this bothers me to no end!  But the blogging must go on and I will share the most resent activity I did with my classroom.

As you all know (or at least you that are connected with elementary schools know), this past week was Read Across America week and it's theme is always focused around Dr. Seuss and his birthday!  This thrills the elementary teachers heart to no end!  Well at least it does mine since I love Dr. Seuss books.  Tuesday of this week we could dress up like a book character and be in the book character parade all around the school!  I wanted to make this easy on my students parents and fun for my students so I just ask that they send the students in red that day.   Ms. Black, my classroom aide, and myself threw a few more touches on the students and we were all able to participate in the parade.  It was so much fun!  And they all looked so cute as  Things 1-17!
I am so blessed to be part of such a wonderful school!

What are some fun things you may have done to celebrate Read Across America week at your school.
